Boras's client roster includes stars like Bryce Harper, Gerrit Cole, and Juan Soto, with his firm securing over $5.5 billion in player contracts.

Scott Boras is a transformative figure in Major League Baseball, whose career as an agent and executive has significantly influenced player rights and the sport's financial landscape. Born on November 2, 1952, in Sacramento, California, Boras played minor league baseball before earning a Doctor of Pharmacy and a Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific.

In 1983, Boras founded the Boras Corporation, a sports agency based in Newport Beach, California. The firm exclusively represents professional baseball players, offering services ranging from contract negotiation to marketing and training. Over the years, Boras has negotiated some of the most lucrative contracts in MLB history, including Alex Rodriguez's $252 million deal in 2000 and Bryce Harper's $330 million contract in 2019.

Boras is known for his meticulous preparation, use of advanced analytics, and aggressive negotiation tactics. His approach has often led to groundbreaking deals that have redefined market standards for player compensation. In 2024, he negotiated a 15-year, $765 million contract for Juan Soto, marking the largest contract in sports history.
