One of his most notable achievements was the "Draft of Quarterbacks" in 1983, where he represented four of the six big name quarterbacks picked in the first round. Demoff (born January 21, 1937) is an American attorney and former sports agent renowned for representing some of the most iconic players in NFL history, including Hall of Famers John Elway and Dan Marino. He was instrumental in orchestrating the events of the 1983 NFL Draft—widely considered one of the most pivotal drafts in league history—during which he represented both Elway and Marino, guiding each through complex pre-draft negotiations that would impact the trajectory of their careers and the league.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Demoff earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California School of Law. Initially practicing as a criminal defense attorney, Demoff transitioned into sports representation in the late 1970s, where he quickly developed a reputation for diligence, discretion, and deep legal expertise.

Demoff’s approach to representation was marked by a careful balance of negotiation skill, personal loyalty, and ethical standards.
